Yokohama Tire Corp. added a new member to its W.drive winter tire line: the V905.

Yokohama’s W.drive V905 winter tire is available now for U.S. and Canadian tire dealers to order for this coming winter. The tire is available in V- and W-speed rating, and fitments for the W.drive V905 include Honda, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Volvo, Lexus, BMW, Cadillac and Toyota.

“The W.drive V905 is our most complete high-performance winter offering to date,” said Bob Abram, manager, product planning. “The V and W-speed rated tire was developed to be more durable, fuel-efficient and handle the most extreme winter driving conditions.”

According to the tiremaker, benefits of the W.drive V905 include:

Advanced construction contributes to driving stability, while increased block stiffness provides self-assured handling in all winter conditions (dry, wet/slush, snow/ice) and temperatures thanks to triple 3-D sipes.
The lightweight design lowers fuel consumption and low rolling resistance is promoted by the advanced engineered Silica end-locked orange oil compound.
Zigzag circumferential grooves work in tandem with variable angles while lateral grooves improve stability and help prevent sliding.
Wide slanting grooves and directional tread pattern provide drainage to combat hydroplaning.
